Picnic in the Park: A Delicious Way to Enjoy Ruthven

Ruthven Park

Did you know that Ruthven Park National Historic Site has picnic tables designated for public use?

Individuals and groups are more than welcome to visit the site’s picturesque landscape and to bring a picnic with them to enjoy. Our grounds are free and open to the public on a daily basis this summer from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

There are 6 picnic tables total throughout the site that offer different views and both sunny and shady areas to choose from.

Staff would like to ask all guests to please clear away all garbage at the end of their visit. There are receptacles throughout the site and recycling bins at the restroom building beside the parking lots. We appreciate the help in keeping the site clean and safe for humans, wildlife, and plant life alike.

Whether you’re bringing breakfast, lunch, or an early dinner, be as creative with your picnic spread as you like, then share a picture to our Facebook page or tag us on Twitter so we can admire it!
