The expansive grounds and setting along the Grand River, the garden gazebo, and stone Coach House offer a perfect location for your wedding, social event, or business function. Movie companies find the historic Greek Revival mansion, outbuildings, and the grounds a unique location to film.

The variety of walking areas and hiking trails on the site provides the opportunity to enjoy nature, the fresh air and get some exercise while out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Bring your binoculars to discover some of our amazing birds and bring a picnic, pause at the various interpretive panels, just sit and relax, or bring a book to read.

Families Go Wild at Ruthven!

February 19, 2018, 1:00pm - February 19, 2018, 3:00pm

Please join us for our Family Day event of 2018, featuring special guests from Wild Ontario! At 1:00pm, enjoy a hike and scavenger hunt on Ruthven Park's extensive grounds with light refreshments provided. Then stay for a 2:00pm live show with several amazing birds (like the gorgeous kestrel in our event photo), hosted by Wild Ontario! The show will be followed by a "nose-to-beak" meet-and-greet. Admission by donation. Appropriate for all ages. Please dress for the weather and ground conditions. Event is rain or shine! Pre-registration not required.
